We welcome Wildlife records from our members and indeed members of the public. To submit a record direct to us please email it to our Recorder with the following detail: Species, Date, Location, Grid Reference and relevant detail or comments. If you wish to have confirmation of identification please supply a photograph if possible or, for rarer species, a brief description.
We encourage recording of all forms of Cumbrian Wildlife and we recommend you submit your records to Cumbria Biodiversity Data Centre (CBDC):
- For multiple records, use the CBDC Species Recording Sheet.
- For one or two records, use the CBDC Online Records Form.
Or if you prefer, you can submit your records via iRecord (sign up required) and join the “Carlisle Natural History Society Records” activity group therein so that the CNHS Recorder can see them ‘live’. In order to avoid duplicate records, please do not submit your records to CBDC if you are using iRecord.
